yes some of these cartoons didnot end but did carry on in the early 90s but not much past 91-92 but they had reruns in the mid nineties
@melissacarl2002 It was called “Rose Petal Place”.
heathcliff would smack garfield around like a lil punk
@TowelTroi
That’s a very good point. Animé, just like cartoons used to, appeal to children of all ages because the stories “involve them”, it “concerns” them in a way. They appeal to the different ages by showing things they like and things that matter to them.
Western cartoons now are just cavalcade of randomness without stories or meaning. Children are waaaay to coddled and protected, they must be allowed to experience things, to feel things, so they learn.
@Lightsaber003
Denver was positively amazing!
It’s also probably the cartoon that tipped me towards the rock and metal genre of music!
my brother thinks that the guys in denver the last dinosaur are gay because the lyrics say denver the last dinosaur hes my friend and a whole lot more so i wanted to post this if any one agrees with him dont give it this a poor comment its just i want to know if anyone else thinks like my brother thats all
I wasn´t even born in the eighties (was born in the 90´s) and I recognize a lot of these cartoons from when I was little
Waay better then the cartoons they send out these days
Denver the dinosaur… ’nuff said.
duckula always duckula
you know the now have a 3lb gummy bear i dont remember where you can get one though
The Gummi Bears wins the award for “biggest stretch to make a Saturday morning cartoon out of a random consumer product.” I mean, seriously, was there a Hot Tamales cartoon in the works?
Denver the last Dinosaur wins the award for BEST THEME SONG/WORST SHOW.
my brother makes fun of the into song because it bothers him how it says denver the last dinosaur is my best friend and a whole lot more so can you guys say any thing for or against on what the song means like i said i love the song it was stuck in my head for days to but my brother on it a lot when he hears it
i look after my neohew after he comes home form school a lot,and he used to like most modern cartoons and shows,but ever since me(and his father)started intriducing him to these shows,he cant get enough..gies to show how timeless these shows were
The best thing about 80s cartoons is their emphasis on camaraderie. Cartoons these days just arent really telling stories to me (few exceptions). I think thats why anime is so big now – theyre telling stories. And have anyone ever turned on TV on Saturday mornings and saw crap like Zac and Cody, and Jonas Brothers, and s*** like that on? What the hell is THAT about!? Im an adult now, but damn, I still like the feeling of Saturday morning cartoons.
Thanks, now i’m not going to be able to get that heathcliff song out of my head for at least a week.
20th century cartoons are so shit compared to these classics
Yeah,you and me both…………they just don’t make cartoons that good anymore!
Ulysses 31 rocked i used to run home from school just to see this
aww man good memories…i wish i was a kid again…=(
