Opening introduction for a Family Home Entertainment presentation (not really sure exactly for what). This. Scared. The. CRAP. out of me when I was small. Not to mention give me small seizures as well. Play at own risk.

what do the boxes for the early fhe tapes look like
From 1982 until 1983.
I remember seeing this at the end of a Captain Harlock video.
No, the Paintbrush was the best (It ages well with time). These other ones were so 70s and 80s.
This is the worst-quality print on the site. Record with the lights off next time for good advice!
Next time, record with the light off! That orange “sun” thing isn’t actually supposed to be there.
Yup, the Care Bears or Strawberry Shortcake…and after the movie was over, there might even be a Looney Tune or two!!! Ah, those were the days…((sigh))
Here’s a more better quality version of that logo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTtVoXDCfp8
The Closing Logo Group calls this one “Soda Pop” XD. I Can see and hear why… fizzy.
See, now this logo epitomises what I like (yes, LIKE) about the 80s… bright colors, cheap effects, synth music…. simpler times when you just sat back and watched The Care BEars
AGGH! That’s the sort of thing you’d see after somebody hit you hard on the back of the head! Music apparently played by a doofus with a $20 keyboard and his fingers taped together.
Can you upload the early 90′s FHE logo?(Played in most of the TMNT videos) I used to be literally OBSESSED with that logo…
the font reminds me of Pac Man
I don’t get the point of having that flower-sun thing just sitting there for some time, wiggling. Wouldn’t it have been better if the words appeared on the sun thing?
Very scary! Is better the other two logos.
I’ll agree, that was the WORST logo in the history of logos
Wow, that’s terrible. The font is horrifying, and the sound effects… that would have given me nightmares, too. Luckily, I never saw it.
Plop Fizz More Look Like Someone Scratches A Record Like In Rap. And Chords More Look Like A Casio Keyboard
I’ve seen this on plenty of pre-84 released FHE tapes. After that it was the kiddie-drawn one we’ve all seen a lot. This early one used a simular graphic effect that reminded me of “The Electric Company” in the 70′s that used simular techniques in getting the text go appear that way.
I remember the logo used for the old “Care Bears” series. My uncle has a VHS tape down in Florida with a few movies on one tape. The logo was used after the end of “Old Yeller” where it slaps into the old FHE logo. The sound effects, weird! That gives me lot of nightmares.
I don’t remember this, but I can see why it was so scary! Very cool logo!
Holy Crap!!! I remember this logo! It was on one of my Gumby VHS tapes. I loved this one.
